| Question: |
Bikes on Light Rail |
| Answer: |
We are aware that as ridership has increased dramatically as a result of rising gas prices. Naturally, there are also more bicycles. We have specific rules that passengers with bikes are expected to follow: Allow all other passengers to board and deboard first. Black and white bike symbols painted on the platform next to the yellow safety strip indicate the correct doors for boarding with your bike. Load and unload your bike at the front or rear entrance of the light rail car. Bikes are not allowed at the front entrance leading to an occupied operators cab. Hold your bike upright against the rear or front of the light rail car. Stay with your bike during the ride. Leave plenty of room for passengers to clear the doorway at all times. Show the fare inspector your permit and fare when requested to do so, or you may be asked to exit the train. Allow all other passengers to exit before you unload your bike. It is our intent to enforce these rules, but unfortunately we don''t have the personnel to contact every one who does not comply. We also don''t have a sufficient number of cars available to be able to remove seats to accommodate the passengers who ride with their bikes. |

| Question: |
Democratic National Convention (DNC) |
| Answer: |
The transportation planning by the Democratic National Convention (DNC) is still in the early planning stages. RTD has been working closely with the DNC Committee, and we do know there will be set bus detours and light rail interruptions near the Pepsi Center. We anticipate having the transportation information available and posted on our website by the end of July. There will likely be additional short-notice detours for security reasons during the DNC, and we will pass those along to the public as we are notified.

| Question: |
Safari, Firefox or Netscape browser |
| Answer: |
If you are using the Safari, Firefox or Netscape browser they have not yet included all of the new flip text attributes, so we have three versions of schedules. You need to go to rtd-denver.com . Click on "Schedules" and choose a route and let me know if that displays better.
Also from any schedule page there is a "Help" button on
the page with a link to another version of the Routes.
